Javier León began his career in the world of computer graphics and 3D more than 20 years ago. Since then he has continued working in the sector both nationally and internationally. According to Lürzer’s Archive magazine, he is one of the top 200 Digital Artists in the World
Javier is Art Director and co-founder of Games for a living, since the birth of the company in 2021, . “We are a video game development and blockchain technology company whose mission is to transform the industry”. Javier takes lead on the creative direction of everything the company produces. His experience, keen eyes and sharp senses elevate the quality of production remains exquisite.
Throughout his professional career, Javier has been honored with numerous awards. In 2017 he was nominated for an Emmy Award for the visual development of the credits for the series The Crown. In 2019 he won the Goya award for best special effects for the film Superlópez. “I collaborated scanning and making the digital double of the character”. He has also participated in projects nominated for the Annecy Awards as well as the Annie Awards. “The Annency is the most important animation festival in the world, and the Annie Awards is considered the ‘Oscars’ of animation”, adds Javier.
With extensive experience in the video game industry, working on titles like Commandos, Galleon, Worms, Alien Breed, Skylanders, LA Noire, Diablo and working for companies like PyroStudios, Team17, Sega, Rockstar, Blizzard, Gameloft and SuperCell, Games for a living is set to deliver beautiful and imaginative video games under his creative direction.
His clients include companies such as Budweiser, Coca-Cola, BBC, McDonald’s, Rockstar, Hasbro, Ikea, Nike, Nickelodeon, and many others. “ I have also worked with directors David Fincher, Henry Selick, PES and Alejandro Amenábar”. When it comes to video games he is no slouch! His projects include titles such as Commandos 2: Men of Courage, Galleon: Islands of Mystery, Worms 3D, Alien Breed PS2, LA Noire, and Diablo IV.
